Presentations A psychologist and storyteller, the author has performed in schools across the country with several acclaimed musicians -- flautist, Laura MacKenzie; cellist, Diane Tremaine; jazz saxophone player, Nathan Hanson; and, rarely, Irish fiddle champion, Martin Hayes. Jim teaches writing to children and adults. His school and library visits blend music and stories and include assorted writing and music experiences, depending on the collaborator. Conferences and workshops address a variety of topics, including child language and cognition, folk and fairy tales, and music. Visits to schools and libraries (all grade levels, kindergarten through graduate school) can include an evening performance for parents and/or community.
