Highlights

I am enjoying watching my stories spread to other cultures, other media. My first picture book has been used as the basis of a children's dance-drama, as an Indonesian shadow-puppet play, as the central text of a Lenten study guide, as the core of a social studies unit; it has been translated to Japanese, Finnish, Russian, Spanish, German and Afrikaans. Roxaboxen is already following similar paths; and the site, itself, is now being preserved as a park by the city of Yuma, so children can use it forever as a playground for the imagination. A theoretical adaptation, produced by the Magic Theatre, premiered in Fall, 1996, in San Antonio.

I'm bilingual, and welcome opportunities to use my Spanish. Other forms of presentation to be negotiated.
