Highlights

I have also written several selections (both fiction and nonfiction) to accompany reading programs for ScottForesman and Harcourt Brace, and I've written many SRA cards, test passages, and reading comprehension selections for the Internet or supplementary instructional books. In addition, I've published articles in such magazines as Canoe Magazine, Family Day Caring, Fitness Today, Skyway News, and Twin Cities Magazine. I have been a speaker in the schools since 1988. Before becoming a writer, I taught 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades.

Presentations

I like to work with the teachers at a school to create the type of presentation best suited for their students. It may be one or a combination of the following options: 1) Slide show presentation while telling of my work and how my books get from me to you; 2) Writing seminars during which students write autobiographical sketches and get feedback from a real author!
