Presentations Visits typically include 4 or 5 presentations per day for 45 minutes each. Presentations are about the process of writing novels. I spend time on the creative process, figurative language, word choice, plus some of the nuts and bolts of writing including plot, characterization, conflict, etc. We also discuss the process of getting published and some of the business side of authorship. Time is allowed for questions and answers. I bring my guitar and perform a song or two about my stories. This is always a hit with the children. I have presented to young people at numerous schools, writing workshops, and bookstores in communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. |
