Presentations

I can do workshops for any age level on any aspect of writing or publishing. These are some of the programs that I have conducted in the past: The Truth in Historical Fiction. Using my novels as examples, I discuss how historical material can be used to create a realistic work of fiction. How the people, places, and events in your own community can provide the back ground and essential framework for a novel. The Legend and a Legend to Be. I discuss the composition of my sports biographies of Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer, focusing on how to research and compose a work of nonfiction. Sense and Nonsense. Using "word play" to generate ideas for poems, stories, play, and essays. How to Beat Writer's Block.
