Highlights

I have a huge LUTHER the DINOSAUR costume (from the story Luther's Halloween). Luther loves to visit schools, libraries and other events. He can do aerobics, be silly or serious & dance--but he doesn't speak! That's why I come along! Of course, Luther doesn't mind tending the farm while I am gone, he is happy to stay home, if your event doesn't need a 6 foot tall green Triceratops dressed in a pirate costume.

Presentations

Each of my presentations is tailored specifically to my audience, is interactive, with a lot of touchables for the younger set. Depending on the needs/wants of the audience, I can usually squeeze a bunch of stuff into a session, including:

- my writing process
- how words on a piece of paper become a real book!
- REVISION, REVISION, REVISION (this always surprises the older groups when I show them how many times an 150 word manuscript is revised
- various fun facts/stories about horses, dogs, pigs, dinosaurs, or. . .
- how I use the Six + 1 traits when I write
- my personal adventure in the world of publishing/book writing
- tips for students to use in their own writing
- writing workshops available upon request
