Newspapers: The classified advertisements in the Minneapolis, St. Paul and local newspapers, particularly the Sunday editions, are helpful.
ACADEMIC LIBRARIESContact the personnel offices for the particular school in which you are interested; they will tell you where they publicize openings and will explain their application and hiring procedures. Some academic institutions have recorded job lines which can be accessed with touch-tone telephones.

PUBLIC LIBRARIESCounty and city libraries each handle postings and hirings differently. Positions may be posted in library facilities, county human resources offices, local newspapers or professional journals. Most require that the applicant submit a standard application form which is available from the particular county or city. The "Community Information" sections at the beginning of the yellow pages of the Minneapolis and the St. Paul telephone directories list county and city libraries and branches.
